Norwegian Competence Centre Helicopter (NCCH) has been selected by Norwegian Air Ambulance (NLA AS) for delivery of simulator and support services for helicopter H135 and H145 at Stavanger Airport Sola

The simulator will be built by RST, and be a State of the Art - Roll on/Roll off Full - Flight Level D Simulator to support NLA AS, and their pilots and HEMS Crew Member.

The simulators will support two helicopter platforms forming a world class training system in airborne emergency medicine, based on strict Norwegian demands from the governmental air ambulance service, including very strict requirements for a Norwegian database with embedded training scenarios for the entire helicopter crew.

Establishing a Norwegian simulator is one of the key measures to increase the operational safety of the air ambulance service in Norway, which was emphasized in the award of the contract to NLA AS. In a press release from the governmental air ambulance service on June 30 , it was noted that: "With new and better simulator in place, the crews will regularly be trained to operate under very demanding missions in the areas of the country they fly in daily.
